Measures that can come into play include moving a stronger offensive player back to defense or goalie, allowing a struggling team to add an additional player onto the field, instructing players to make three passes before shooting at the goal, or urging them to only shoot from long distances. Teams will consist of 12 players. Build a team with your class or neighborhood friends! Small-Sided Games Our Fall Soccer program is played via small-sided games 6 v 6 or 7 v 7 that incentivize players to maintain focus on the game at hand. Pre-K Class Pre-K class is 50 minutes long.
Each team will be assigned weekly practice days and time. Duration for K — 8th grade practice is 75 minutes long. Weekday practice schedules for K — 8 will be posted soon. Each team's weekday practices will be run by an outstanding DFS coach. Parent coaches and confirmed team members should communicate with each other regarding any schedule restrictions. Schedule restrictions can be noted on the registration form, and should be based on need, not preference. We will accommodate whenever possible.
Saturday Games Dave Fromer Soccer coaches referee the Saturday games while providing additional coaching support for parent coaches and players. Saturday game schedules will be posted mid-August. Coaching your child's team is a fun and rewarding experience.
Expertise in soccer is not a prerequisite. DFS will provide training for parent coaches. Unaffiliated Players Players registering as unaffiliated players will be placed on teams.
Equipment Uniforms are worn for Saturday games and may be purchased. Uniforms are available for purchase during registration. Further Resources Mill Valley Recreation. Fall Soccer Format and Rules Games are to be played 6 v 6 for K—2nd grade teams, and 7 v 7 for 3rd—8th grade teams.

As a player, he was co-captain of the first youth team from the Western United States to win a national championship.
He coached boys' and girls' teams at Tamalpais High School for 15 years and has coached many youth teams, including those of his son, his daughter, and his grandchildren, through the Mill Valley Soccer Club which he co-founded in Previously, Jacki worked for 13 years for a community non-profit organization providing support services for parents and training programs for childcare providers.
